Heikki Hurskainen received an M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering and doctoral degree in computing and electrical engineering from Tampere University of Technology (TUT), Finland.
Currently, Hurskainen is working as a research fellow at TUT’s Department of Computer Systems, where he continues to work in satellite navigation research projects.

His research interests include, but are not restricted to, evolution of GNSSes, implementation and prototyping issues of receiver algorithms, and emerging applications of GNSS receivers.
