Ganiyu Ishola Agbaje

Ganiyu Ishola Agbaje is a geoinformation expert, with a Ph.D. in geography/geomatics from Lancaster University, an MPhil degree in GIS & remote sensing from the University of Cambridge, and MSc and BSc (Hons) degrees in surveying from the University of Lagos.

He is a registered surveyor and a Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors.

Agbaje was the Group on Earth Observation (GEO) principal for Nigeria (2010–2014) and served on the GEO Executive Committee, Institution & Development Board, and Data-Sharing Working Group of GEO, in Geneva, during this period.

He is currently the director/chief executive officer of the African Regional Center for Space Science & Technology Education – English, an affiliated Center to the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs.
