The theme of the conference is "ERA-GLONASS modern technologies for the ensuring of road safety and comfort."
The one-day event will open with a short presentation on the status of the project by Alexei Tsydenov, Russia’s deputy minister of transportation. It will be followed by presentations by Russian and European designers and manufacturers on the prospects for the new system, national standards, technical regulations on emergency devices, eCall in-vehicle-system design, the status of Europe’s eCall pilot program and more.
It is sponsored by the GLONASS Union, a two-year-old non-commercial partnership of Russia’s navigation and information services companies.
