ENC 2016: European Navigation Conference

The 2016 ENC will take place at Finlandia Hall in downtown Helsinki on May 30 and 31 and June 1 and 2. The event will focus on innovations in positioning, navigation and timing technologies and applications at land, sea and air. Topic areas include GNSS positioning,indoor and urban navigation and position based applications.

The opening keynote speaker will be Matthias Petschke, director for European Satellite Navigation Programs, European Commission. The conference endnote will be presented by John Raquet, U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology.

This year’s event, the 24th in the series, is sponsored by the Nordic Institute of Navigation and the Finnish Geospatial Research Institute (FGI) of the National Land Survey of Finland. The conference chair is Heidi Kuusniemi, director of the navigation and positioning department at FGI.

ENC 2016 has technical co-sponsorship from IEEE Aerospace and Electronic
Systems Society and will feature both a full-paper peer review track
with published papers included into IEEE Xplore, and a light peer review
track accepting extended abstracts, short-or-full papers for inclusion
to the conference proceedings. 

The Indoor Positioning Summit will be co-located with this year’s ENC.
