The International Association of Chinese Professionals in Global Positioning Systems (CPGPS) will hold a technical forum for scientists and engineers within China and internationally on satellite navigation and positioning on August 18-20 2010. 

The International Association of Chinese Professionals in Global Positioning Systems (CPGPS) will hold a technical forum for scientists and engineers within China and internationally on satellite navigation and positioning on August 18-20 2010. 

The theme is "Navigation and Location Services: Emerging Industry and International Exchanges." It will be held in Shanghai during the World Expo 2010.

The goal is to provide a platform for exchanging new technologies and methods, to provide Chinese researchers in the field to learn about international trends, and to help overseas researchers to gain insight into China’s work in satellite navigation. Papers will be given in Chinese or English.

The forum is co-sponsored by the Institute of Navigation. The co-hosts are the Chinese National Remote Sensing Center, a subordinate of the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology; the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality; and Wuhan University National Engineering Research Center for Satellite Positioning System.
