The Civil Global Positioning System Service Interface Committee (CGSIC) is the recognized forum for interaction between civil GPS users worldwide and the U.S. GPS authorities. It was chartered to identify navigation, timing and positioning user needs as part of the Department of Transportation outreach program to the civil GPS user community. The CGSIC reports its activities to the National Space-Based Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Executive Committee and the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Transportation. It is located in the office of the U.S. Coast Guard Navigation Center in Alexandria, Virginia.
