12th International Conference TransNav 2017 on Marine Navigation and Safety of Sea Transportation

The Faculty of Navigation of Gdynia Maritime University jointly with The Nautical Institute will present the 12th International Conference TransNav 2017 on Marine Navigation and Safety of Sea Transportation.

The conference, organized by the university’s faculty and The Nautical Institute, will be held from Wednesday through Friday, June 21-23, 2017. The event is addressed to scientists and professionals in order to share their expert knowledge, experience and research results concerning all aspects of navigation, safety of navigation and sea transportation.

The 12th edition of this innovative world conference on maritime transport research is designed to find solutions to challenges in waterborne transport, navigation and shipping, mobility of people and goods with respect to energy, infrastructure, environment, safety and security as well as to the economic issues.

Gdynia Maritime University is the largest state school of higher maritime education in Poland and one of the largest in Europe. Since 1920 the University has been preparing graduates for officer positions on board merchant marine vessels and for managerial positions at the land-based institutions and companies representing the maritime industry and seaside regions.
